2023 Adventure: Winnebago Revel RV

We have bought a new adventure vehicle for yet another, perhaps final, adventure travel: a new Winnebago Revel “Class B” RV.

Before we detail the adventure plans and outcomes, first it is perhaps helpful to readers to understand what led us to choose Winnebago as the RV manufacturer, and Lazy Days as the dealer, and Mercedes Benz Sprinter as the chassis, and to go with all new.

As readers already know, for the previous adventures this website I chose to go with “new” vehicles in every case: Catrike Expedition, and then Catrike 559; the Trump 1200 XRT motorcycle (though I prefer “motorbike,” its the old English tradition of the word), followed by BMW 850 GS. Every choice was, in the end, choosing “new” over used, at the obvious premium of that decision, because avoiding the aches and complexities of “used,” which is not a perfect predictor of outcomes but is where the probabilities lie. When traveling in an adventure context, reliability is a huge factor in enjoyment and safety. Breakdowns, or worse, when on the road, especially off the road or in remote parts of the country or continent are experience-killers.

So far, in all these choices, and now our expectation with the brand new Winnebago Revel, the vehicles has all performed flawlessly making for amazing adventures.
